Jharkhand is a state in eastern India. The word Jharkhand
incorporates a unique meaning “Jhar” means forest and “Khand” means land so, we
call it Land of the forest. The state is sharing its boundary with 5 other
states. Bihar to the north, Uttar Pradesh to the northwest, West Bengal to its
east, and Odisha to the south. If I’ll talk about the Hospitality of Jharkhand,
I’ll say you can feel it the behavior of locals here. Simply saying the people
of Jharkhand are peace-loving and too friendly. You never find yourself aloof.
Although Jharkhand doesn’t have any Sea Beaches. But, there
are a lot of Waterfalls, Mountains, hills to make our trips memorable.
Parasnath is a mountain peak where you can enjoy trekking, it is the highest
mountain peak of Jharkhand height 1365 meters.
Only the capital city Ranchi having more than 10 waterfalls.

1) Dassam fall.
It lies 40 Km. from the city suburbs Ranchi on the NH. 33 or
Ranchi-Jamshedpur Highway. It is located in the village of Taimara, Bundu. The
best time to visit this fall is during the rainy season in August or September.
You can spend your quality time sitting just on the rocks and enjoy the sound
of the river water. It’s a mental peace for my kind of people.
2) Pahari Mandir.
For the devotee of Mahakaal, this is one of the fabulous
temples you would visit in your life. It is located on the hilltop of Ranchi.
Located on the heart of the city. This temple of Lord Shiva which was then
under the possession of Britishers. They were using this mountain to hang the
freedom fighters. Since independence, every year there is the hoisting of the
national flag.
3) Netharhat.
If you find nature as your friend then, this place should be
in your list of the must-visit place.
The name sounds ‘Nature’s heart’ in the English language. Netharhat is a
perfect destination for the citizens of Ranchi for their weekend plans. Earlies
Britishers got attracted by this tribal land and they reframe it as a hill
station. It is a secret and underrated hill station of Jharkhand. It is around
150 km away from the state capital. The best spot of Netharhat is Prabhat Vihar
that offers the best view of early sunrise. It is located in the District known
as Latehar.
4) Jonha fall.
This is another fall in Ranchi. It is 45 Km away from the
capital Ranchi. The fall named after the village next to the fall. If you are a
nature lover then this spot will add imitable memory in you. the gurgling sound
of water falling from a high altitude are worth experiencing.
5) Dalma wildlife sanctuary.
Since my childhood, I love wandering in places rich in
wildlife. Have you ever wished to run with the elephants? If yes, then this
place is like a heaven to you. this destination is a Paradise of elephants.
Located near the river known as Subarnekha. Here, wildlife lives in harmony and
peace. Located very close to the steel city Jamshedpur, it is a weekend gateway
for the adventurous lovers.
6) Parasnath.
Welcome to the holy city. The temple located on the top of
the mountain is the most sanctified holy places of Jains. Jains believe that almost,
all 24 Tirthankaras attained nirvana at this location. The mountain is the
highest peak of the Jharkhand state with an elevation of 4480 ft. it is located
35 km away from the city of Giridih. This destination is also famous for mountain
trekking.
7) Jubilee park.
Jubilee Park is located in the city of Jamshedpur.
