Healthy Food For Healthy Skin.

Don’t you think all of us want glowing blemish-free skin? So, we try a lot of creams, lotion and, different kinds of ointments for that. But beautiful skin starts within your body. The kind of food you have daily. You must have used Face scrub maybe in Salon or by yourself. What is the role of face scrub? There are a lot of dead cells in our skin which gets replaced by the newer cells. So a regular supply of nutrients becomes a must for the rapid development of the new cell. Eating a balanced diet, you will feed to your skin directly. It helps your skin to stay soft, shiny, and blemish-free.



Nutrition is very much required for your skin and your health too. An unhealthy diet affects your metabolism, cause weight gain, and even damage organs, such as your heart and liver. My grandfather's response to every disease is that you must have a stomach related problem. Shockingly he was right also. for the wellness of any skin problems, you will require a perfect metabolism.

If I'll talk about Wrinkles and age spots, they are inevitable. But skin aging is something that is upon us. Skin aging is due to overexposure to the sun, dust, chemicals, and poor nutrition. Therefore it is must treat your skin wisely and follow the healthy food structure. So in this blog, we will discuss some healthy foods for flawless and naturally glowing skin.


1) Seafood.



When it comes to skin the first thing that clicked every time into my mind is seafood. I noticed people who live in coastal areas have better skin in comparison to others. Seafood is a rich source of omega-3 fatty acid which help in maintaining skin health. Foods such as salmon, mackerel, and herring are excellent sources for healthy skin.

Omega-3 helps to reduce inflammation that is responsible for Acne and redness in the skin. People who face dryness is only because of the deficiency of omega-3. Fatty fish is also a rich source of vitamin E, that boosts antioxidants in our body. Different varieties of seafood are also rich in proteins.


2) Eat fruits and vegetables daily.



Fruits and vegetables are rich in antioxidants which reduce cellular damage to your skin. Your skin starts looking dull, wrinkled, and tanned because of this damage. Therefore try to eat a rainbow full of different varieties of fruits and vegetables. Carrots, sweet potatoes, pumpkins are rich in Betacarotene that are important for normal skin cell development and healthy skin tone.


3) Eat foods rich in Vitamin C.



Vitamin C is rich in antioxidants. It increases our immune system and helps blemishes of skin to heal properly. The best source of Vitamin C is citrus fruits such as oranges, grapefruit, kiwi, mango, papaya, etc.


4) Drink at least 6-8 glasses of water every day.



Increase your water intake will help in the release of toxins from your body. Skin needs to moisturize to look flexible and radiant. A slightly lesser level of dehydration may also turn your skin pale, dry, and tired. Like if you have complaints of forgot to drink water then keep a personal bottle of yourself in your table that reminds you of drinking water.


5) Tomatoes.



There are lots of facewash in India that claims tomatoes as their main ingredients. Tomatoes are a major source of vitamin C and contain all of the major carotenoids, including lycopene. The red color of any fruits and vegetables depends upon the presence of lycopene. Pair tomatoes with the food’s rich in fats such as cheese, and olive oil that helps in absorbing carotenoids.


6) Dark chocolate.



So, this is like a boom for chocolate lovers. This is one more reason to consider Cocoa as a skin healer. According to research, consuming cocoa powder help in the increment of antioxidants in your body and makes your skin look more hydrated and thicker.


7) Green tea.



Green tea helps you to increase your metabolism rate, which results in the loss of fat in your facial region. Antioxidants in Green tea help your skin from damage due to the sun. it has been reported that 60 % of women prevent redness under the sun due to the consumption of green tea.


8) Broccoli.






Broccoli is rich source zinc, Vitamin A and Vitamin C. Broccoli help in reducing oxidative damage to our skin and body that makes our skin look wrinkled and dull. Broccoli also contains sulforaphane, which reduces the chances of cancer such a skin cancer from our body.


9) Walnuts.






Like seafood, walnuts are also a good source of essential fatty acids that your body cannot prepare on its own. Walnuts are also beneficial for people with cardiovascular disease. But it should be consumed on a limited amount because a heavy amount of walnuts lead sto diarrhoea.
